If you want to provide your glider with healthy treats, it is very important that they are made of quality ingredients. This will ensure that your glider receives all of the nutrients they need without causing any harm to their health.

Treats should only make up around 5 percent of your glider’s diet, and should be given sparingly. These should include natural foods like fruits, insects, and raw nuts.

Fruits are the best, most natural, and highest nutritional treats for your glider to enjoy. Fresh or dehydrated oranges, papayas, tangerines, pineapples, mangos, cantaloupes, bananas, peaches, watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and cherries are all healthy for your glider.

Veggies are also a good option, but you must be careful not to overdo them as they are very low in vitamins and minerals for your glider. A minimum of 2 cups of vegetables should be offered to your glider each day, and a variety should be chosen.

Vegetables such as sweet potatoes, kale, collards, green beans, beets, lima beans, carrots, jicama, bok choy and squash are all good choices for your glider. However, be aware that some veggies contain calcium and oxalates, which can cause urinary stones in small exotic pets such as your glider.

The best way to provide your glider with healthy treats is to buy them at a pet store online or local to you, and only give them out in very small amounts. These treats are a great way to help your glider bond with you and keep them happy!
