Can Sugar Glider Eat Egg? Empty Can Sugar Glider Eat Egg?

Gliders need a varied diet that includes kibble or pellets, fruits and vegetables and protein. A variety of foods ensures that they get all the nutrients they need and prevents selective eating.

A well-balanced diet also helps to avoid health problems, such as calcium deficiency. If a glider doesn't have enough calcium in their diet, they may develop lameness and weakened bones.

Ideally, they should be given fresh fruit and vegetables as much as possible, although dried and frozen versions can be okay if time is short. Make sure you wash all fruit and vegetables thoroughly before serving to avoid contamination with pesticides and chemicals that can be dangerous to your pet.

You can give hard-boiled eggs to your sugar glider as a treat, but it's best not to feed them often as it's high in calories and saturated fat. It's also best to cook the eggs before feeding them to your pet so you can be certain they are safe from harmful bacteria.

Alternatively, you can make homemade treats that are low in fat and calories and packed with nutrients. These include meal worms (dried or live), yoggies, fresh eucalyptus and dried fruit. However, keep in mind that only about 5% of your glider's diet should consist of treats. You can give them a small amount of each type of treat to help satisfy their hunger but don't overdo it! If you're concerned about your glider's weight, consider getting them a special vitamin and mineral supplement.
