Can Sugar Glider Eat Frozen Vegetables? Empty Can Sugar Glider Eat Frozen Vegetables?

While frozen vegetables are okay for your glider to eat, it is important that you let the food thaw before feeding them. This will help ensure that the nutrients are absorbed into your glider’s body.

Fruits & Vegetables
Most fruits and vegetables that humans eat are safe for your glider to consume. However, there are some fruits and vegetables that you should avoid giving your glider due to their high oxalate content or other nutritional deficiencies.

Cauliflower
While cauliflower is a delicious vegetable, it should not be given to your glider on a regular basis as it can cause metabolic bone disease in gliders. This is because cauliflower contains a calcium to phosphorus ratio of 0.5:1 and is not enough to provide the calcium that your glider needs for healthy bones.

Yogurt Drops
While yogurt drop treats may seem like a convenient option, they are not a healthy snack for your glider and should be offered only in small quantities. This is because they are often loaded with empty calories and do not contain the necessary vitamins and minerals your glider needs for a healthy diet.

Feed Your Glider a Morning Meal
The best time to feed your glider is in the morning before they go out for their daily exercise. This will help to ensure that they do not get too hungry throughout the day.

A good diet for sugar gliders should include approximately one-third protein and two-thirds fruits and vegetables. They should also be given a variety of insects and other foods such as cheese, mealworms, crickets, cooked eggs, fish, and some dog food to round out their diet.
